Established at the beginning of 2014, H.A. McCoy Engineering & Surveying, LLC specializes in Civil Engineering and Land Surveying. Our focus is to deliver a high quality, technically competent product in a time frame that best meets our client’s needs. We work primarily in Central Oregon, but have successfully assisted our clients all over the entire State of Oregon and Washington. Our professional licenses allow us to perform engineering services in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Nevada and land surveying services in Oregon, Washington and Idaho. Projects
Countryside Living, Redmond, Oregon.
Completed in 2015, Countryside Living is a memory care facility located across from St. Charles Hospital in Redmond. The existing site had burdensome easements and setbacks, fire code restrictions, and geotechnical challenges. Working with the Architect, the City, and Redmond Fire & Rescue, we were able to determine a plan that allowed a larger building and more efficient use of the site for our client.
Village at Cold Springs, Sisters, Oregon
Currently under construction, Village at Cold Springs required a revised Master Plan that updated an obsolete plan that met the needs of the City, neighboring owners, and our client. This development will provide much needed housing to the City of Sisters as well as provide some important public improvement connections that will be a benefit to the City.
Palmer Junction, Union County, Oregon
Working for the contractor, this project required temporary road and stream crossings, a temporary bridge, stream bypass plans, as well a supportive construction staking. The first phase of the project was completed in 2016 with the remaining work to be completed in 2017.
Cusick Creek, Baker County, Oregon
The project restored a historical stream channel in a remote ranch in Eastern Oregon. Working with the stream restoration firm, we assisted with designs for an arch plate culvert crossing, bridge crossing, in stream grading, structures, and planting.
Redmond Proficiency Academy Middle School, Redmond, Oregon
Within a very short timeframe, the Redmond Proficiency Academy required numerous survey tasks to assist with development of their new middle school including an ALTA survey, topographic survey, easements, and a partition. During construction, we assisted the general contractor with construction staking services. This project was completed on time and allowed RPA to open in the fall of 2016.
Cloverdale Fire Station, Deschutes County, Oregon
On a particularly constrained site, we developed a site plan for development of the new apparatus room for the Cloverdale Rural FPD. Development was constrained by the existing septic system, active and reserve drain fields, and domestic water lines. During construction, we assisted the project team with civil related RFI’s and provided construction staking services for the general contractor. This project was an important improvement for the Cloverdale RFPD.
US97 and L Street Improvements, Madras, Oregon
Over the past few years, a number of improvements have taken place along US 97 in Madras, Oregon. However, one small section of highway was not included. We provided topographic surveying and civil engineering services for the City of Madras and construction staking services for the contractor. This important connection was completed in 2016.
